Remembering . . .

Remembrance Sunday

Today we remember in particular Uncle Fred, my Mother's youngest brother, who was lost when his plane went down over the Bay of Biscay. We also remember the brave young soldiers serving their country in places such as Afghanistan, to all those who've lost their lives and also the ones who've suffered horrific injuries: we remember and salute you all.
Nigel added this in a comment, so I have added it to the post:

“They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”

Thank you for posting the image, it's beautiful. Remembrance day is bitter sweet, remembering those who have gone.
I hope you don't mind me adding this:

“They shall grow not old as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”
