journal rose pages

another journal spread I have been working on: I drew the girl some weeks ago and wasn't sure what to do with her! eventually decided to surround her with roses. Her necklace and hair flower are pressed bougainvillea petals from our garden.

the background was done with Brilliance beautiful shimmery inks. The girl was drawn with my Faber Castell Ecco Pigment pen. She isn't anyone in particular, just a face!

You can faintly see where I podged a piece of Japanese very fine, white fibre serviette over her, it has threads and flowers woven into it, very delicate. I softly coloured her skin, eyes and lips with Versafine inks.

What a beautiful lady! Love the colors! You are SO talented!
Thanks for the comment on my blog! Ripe jack tastes like a mix of ananas and bananas, with other sweet tastes added - difficult to explain... I think I should look at the poor jack tree with artful eyes! :)

Dear Nettie, thank you so much for your visits and your kind comments. I can learn so much from your blog. The colors you use are fabulous. I like the color in the roses you have on your background now. I keep switching all the time looking for new things. I want to do something special for April our Golden Ann month. My son did the overlapping of the picture on my sidebar. I am also trying to do more with Photoshop. Blessings
