Waterfront

A couple of weeks ago we took a trip down to the Waterfront in Cape Town, a real tourist hotspot, always fun to visit, here's a few photos

Some lucky folk own boats that are kept moored there, right in the heart of things!
You can take a trip over to Robben Island if the mood takes you, the place where Nelson Mandela spent 25+ years of his life imprisoned.

There's always somebody ready to entertain the crowds

The Table Mountain range of course dominates with it's awesome presence

Some interesting little statues of 4 Freedom Fighters from the days of "The Struggle"

There's a shipping industry based there too

Then there's a large stage arena for live artists to perform

Jazz bands entertain in another area

and you can have your portrait done nearby!

We headed off for lunch in a great restaurant overlooking the harbour
