Tim is coming to SA!

The very exciting news is that Tim Holtz is to be in South Africa for 2 weeks! His first meeting with some of his fans is to be at the Spier wine estate which is close by Stellenbosch, not far from Cape Town and very close to us in Gordons Bay!
We were visiting Spier just two weeks ago when our son was here on his annual visit, he'd been inspired by some of Tim's video tutorials and had a fun time experimenting using my Distress Inks and stamps. These photos are from our recent visit, little did I know I was preparing the way to such a special visit.

So, for those of you who don't know Spier here is a little preview of where Tim will be at his first venue. The surroundings are the very beautiful Winelands area of the Western Cape, there are many wine farms in the vicinity and several of them have open air picnic areas where you can order a picnic basket packed full with scrumptious food and some of the local wines. The Spier estate has restaurants both indoors and out, as well as under tents and picnics. There is also a Cheetah Outreach programme which is involved in cheetah conservation and education, to help the survival of these beautiful animals, you can read about it here

I'm not sure if Tim will want some of this Bushman's Hot Az Hell Chilli sauce!

This is the wonderful Moyo restaurant a unique experience

Some may want to visit the wine tasting house, why not!

all too soon it will be time to leave

and, for us, time to arrive back in the Somerset West, Strand and Gordons Bay area

This is just a small taste of what Spier has to offer, the estate is huge.
