another house!

this is my second challenge entry into the Dans Ma Maison blog's weekly challenges, I think I can feel an addiction coming on! the theme this week is an altered object, which threw me at first, but then by chance I came across an old necklace with a bird on. I fell in love with the bird when I bought it years ago, but have never been able to wear the necklace as the beak would stick in my throat, not a happy experience!

So, to come up with a use for the beautiful bird at last is lovely! it is coloured with my alcohol pens which are designed for use on peel offs, they work beautifully on metal. The background is coloured with H20s and part of the edge is embossed with Cosmic Shimmer UTEE.  The beautiful stork and sentiment stamps are from OnyxXpressions and the scrolls are Basic Grey, I am not sure about the grass one, I have lost the wrapper. I have done several close ups so hopefully you get a good idea of how lovely the bird was as a silver coloured necklace.

The charms are from a local beadshop and I coloured them with the pens. I used some Rock Candy crackle paint but was a bit disappointed that part of it chipped off.

Just beautiful, what can I say ... at least that birdie won't be able to throttle you anymore and I think its quite content where it is now. Just love the vibrant girly colours on this.

Nettie, I want you to know that I laughed in delight when I read about that beak poking you in the neck, but, when I saw this exquisite house, I literally sighed aloud. It is so delicate, yet the colors are rich and luscious. I truly admire your work.

Superbe cet oiseau!!!J'aime tes couleurs, les dégradés de rose +les turquoise et bleu intense...

Oui ! Cet oiseau doit être agressif...et si tu mets une fleur en tissu dans son bec ??
Bonne journée, Nicole

All your creations are beautiful, but this surpasses them all.
You asked if I am well? Yes. I'm fine, but very tired, because it is a busy period.
I do psychotherapy with autistic children and this week I made some specialization courses. I get home at 9 pm.
Next week start working!
Hugs,
Doina
